Four reasons Early Deposit is more than an earlier payday
|
The freedom of getting paid early

What would you do if payday came a little sooner?

As we celebrate Independence Day and America’s 250th anniversary this month, we're all reminded how valuable a little extra freedom can be. The same is true when it comes to your finances.

Whether you're planning for a holiday weekend, paying bills, or simply trying to stay ahead of everyday expenses, having access to your paycheck, government benefits, or similar payments sooner can provide some extra breathing room.

With Early Deposit, eligible Credit Union of Ohio members receive qualifying direct deposits up to two days early, automatically, and at no cost.*

Early Deposit has become one of the most popular checking account features for many members, but there are still a few misconceptions about why it’s so beneficial.

Early Deposit at a glance

  • Receive qualifying direct deposits up to 2 days early*

  • Included with eligible Credit Union of Ohio accounts

  • Free and automatic, no enrollment required

  • Use your money sooner for bills, savings, purchases, or unexpected expenses

Early Deposit isn’t a loan.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Early Deposit is that you're borrowing money or receiving a cash advance, but that’s not how it works.

Early Deposit simply provides access to qualifying direct deposits as soon as Credit Union of Ohio receives the payment information from your employer or payment provider, which may be up to two days before your scheduled payday.*

It's your money, just available sooner!

Early Deposit can help improve your cash flow.

Holiday weekends, family vacations, back-to-school shopping, or even a busy week can all create extra expenses or distractions. Having access to your money sooner gives you flexibility to plan ahead instead of waiting until your scheduled payday, especially when combined with the convenience of a Credit Union of Ohio checking account!

It can also help you move money into savings sooner, make an earlier loan payment, or simply stay ahead of your financial goals.

You don’t have to sign up.

One of the best things about Early Deposit is that there's nothing extra to manage. That means once your qualifying direct deposit is set up, Early Deposit happens automatically. There are no forms to complete, no fees to pay, and nothing extra to remember.

Getting paid early is about more than convenience.

At first glance, getting paid up to two days early may sound like a smaller perk. But many of our members agree that those extra couple of days provide valuable peace of mind and can help relieve stress.

It may mean paying a bill before it's due, buying groceries before a busy weekend, handling an unexpected expense, or simply feeling more confident that your money is there when you need it.

You'll get your money faster with Early Deposit, and a checking account will give you the freedom to do more with it. Open your account online, call 800.443.5698, or stop by your local branch to learn more.
